Welcome to the official website for the Theta Eta Lambda Chapter (ΘΗΛ) of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. Our aims are to inform visitors of our vast history, goals, and local activities. Chartered on December 31, 1962, in Saint Petersburg, Florida, this year we celebrate more than six decades of service to the community.

 

The Theta Eta Lambda Chapter remains committed to the national programs and partnerships of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., which include the March of Dimes, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, My Brother's Keeper, Go to High School, Go to College, and A Voteless People is a Hopeless People. Working with these partners and programs allows our chapter to effect social and political change on several different levels.

 

Our chapter addresses the educational needs of our community through the Fraternity’s national program Project Alpha. The significance of this program in Saint Petersburg and surrounding communities are invaluable as it relates to the impact on the lives of our local youth by promoting leadership and service to all mankind. The goal is to optimize, coordinate, train, educate, and provide the necessary leadership, development, and life skills necessary for youth to advance scholastically, socially, and mentally in life and in the broad academic arenas. Please nominate young men in grades 6-12 for the educational programs. We would appreciate the opportunity to provide positive role models and support these young men financially with college scholarship dollars.

 

The Brothers Theta Eta Lambda would like to extend the open arms of entertainment and hospitality through our HOLIDAY GALA, SPRING FLING, and GOLF TOURNAMENT events benefiting our educational foundation.
